After early voting, absentee ballots, and a day filled with community members casting their votes at the polls, the unofficial 2018 Election results are in! A few of the results are a close call and the official results will be publicized in ten days. Determination, visiting with community members, voicing opinions, and patiently waiting for the results to be posted are just part of running for the multiple offices.
Arkansas County Sheriff candidates Robert Todd Wright and James Nolan Woodell, Jr. ran a good race and ultimately, Wright won the vote with 63.79% of the votes.
James "Jimmy" Black and Jerry A. Mannis ran against one another for the position of Mayor of DeWitt with Black winning the vote with a total of 71.25%.
