Department of Human Services to Close Four Offices Including DeWitt

According to online sources, the Department of Human Services has announced that it will be closing four county offices. DeWitt, Clarendon, Booneville and Osceola offices will close by the end of 2020. DHS plans to expand or improve other offices in more populated counties, the department announced on Monday, November 4.

The closure of the four offices are expected to save $246,500 a year in rent and utilities.

Staff of the DeWitt office will be moved to the Stuttgart office.
