Only the best cheer coaches, Mandy Cotten (DJH) and Leigh-Ann Haynes (DHS), will surprise their squads during spirit night dance break in banana costumes and take to the floor and dance with all the cheerleaders. The banana is a coveted award (yes, it is just an inflatable one) as it is given to the squad who displays leadership and an overwhelming amount of spirit every day. The ultimate squad goal is to come home with the banana! And yes, both the DeWitt squads brought them home! (Maybe the dancing bananas
