Judy Capps Coit

Judy Capps Coit (known by most people as “Aunt Judy”), 75, of DeWitt, was beloved by everyone and she loved everyone….almost!!!

She went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Judy was born on July 13, 1947, in DeWitt to Robert and Ann Fox Capps.

She was reared and received her education in Wabbaseka, graduating in 1965.

Judy worked for several years at AutoZone in Memphis, Tennessee, and retired from DeWitt Police Department.

She was baptized at Wabbaseka Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Charles L. Coit; brother, Jerry Ragan; sister, Patricia Musticchi; mother-in-law, Sadie Coit; and great-nephew, Jacob Coleman.

Survivors include children that she raised, Jesse (Larina) Coit of DeWitt and Destiny Coit-Matthews of Heber Springs; brothers, Gary Pete (Patti) Capps of Altheimer and Billy (Betty) Capps of Altheimer; brother-in-law, Rick Musticchi; sister-in-law, Brenda Ragan; father-in-law, Charles A. (Sue) Coit of DeWitt; nieces and nephews, Ronda (Craig) Coleman of DeWitt, Robbie (Stephanie) Ragan of DeWitt, Erica (Chastin) Russel of Tichnor, Coby (TJ) Ragan of Cabot, Kaci Capps of North Carolina, Dustin (Ashley) Capps of Stuttgart, Dillon (Amber) Offutt of Watson Chapel, Kyndal Capps of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jessie (Jason) Bobo of Little Rock, Katelyn (Jon) Brown White Hall, Charli (Michel) Perkins of DeWitt; 19 great-nieces and nephews and even a few great-greats.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful and loving nursing staff at DeWitt Hospital. Also, to Julie Dunlap for being a great friend and assistant to all of us.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Thompson Cemetery in DeWitt by Fuller Hale South Funeral Services. Visitation was held on Monday at Fuller Hale South.
