Roger Allen McCallie

Roger Allen McCallie, 82, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.

He was born July 1, 1940, in Arkansas County to R.C. (Pete) and Kathleen Bullock McCallie. He was a truck driver most of his life and was retired from RG Berry Trucking, Inc.

Roger never met a stranger and always had a story to tell.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wynell “Nellie” Williams McCallie, his parents, and brother Michael McCallie

He is survived by 4 children, Marcie Jacobs (David) of Stuttgart, Shelley Bardwell (Alan) of Fayetteville, Allen McCallie (Jill) Conway, Rob McCallie (Shannon) McNeil, stepdaughter Debbie Williams Wollard (Bryan) of Shawneetown, Il, stepson James (Holly) Williams of Rochester, NY, brother, Larry McCallie (Connie) of Crocketts Bluff and sister, Jan McCallie of Lonoke; 7 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 9 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the Crocketts Bluff Cemetery.
