Kamekia Robinson School Board Zone 5

In addition to the Candidate Forum that was presented by the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and Southeast Arkansas Broadcasters, the DeWitt Era-Enterprise wanted to help inform the public about the candidates. After putting together several questions, they were submitted to all candidates.

What made you want to throw your hat in?
I believe that children are our future and I want to invest the time to make sure they have the tools to be successful.
How do you feel you can move our school board forward?
I can help move our school board forward by working with the superintendent to help improve our school district for our kids to get the best education.
What do you feel are issues facing the school district? How do you propose to help solve them?
One issue I see the school district is facing is teachers leaving our district. As a board, we need to figure out why they are leaving and what can we do to make them stay.
What do you feel is the responsibility of the school board?
Being an advocate for the community, kids, and teachers.
Do you have children in the district? If so, where do they attend?
I do not have children in the district but I do have two grandchildren in the district. One attends Park Avenue and one attends Meekins Middle School.
Can you be fair to all children?
Most definitely.
What strengths will you bring to the board, if elected?
Dependable, Dedicated, and a Desire for Change!
Can you set personal feelings aside and work for the district as a whole?
Yes
Why should voters elect you?
I have a passion to see our kids be successful and I will be dedicated to making sure they have the tools to be successful.
