Leslie “Carl” Freeman

Leslie “Carl” Freeman of DeWitt, Arkansas, past from this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home. Carl was born on April 9, 1930 to Mary Ellen Murphy and William Cannon Freeman.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Sue Sheeks Freeman, his sisters Anna Mae Smith and Barbara Credle, and brother William “Bill” Freeman.

Carl is survived by his three girls, Sandra Childers (Larry), Carla Hynum (Bob), and Karen West (Kenny); five grandchildren, Amy Watkins, Angie Denton, Lesley Herr Rachel O’Connor and Josh Hynum. He had 12 great grandchildren and friends and family too numerous to count.

Carl was a hard worker. He retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. He loved gardening, being outside, and taking care of his horses. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Services were held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at DeWitt Cemetery.
