Tommy “TR” Parker

Tommy “TR” Parker of Bayou Meto passed away on October 16, 2022. He was born Thomas Ray Parker, October 9, 1959, to Donald and Virginia Mae Parker.

He was proceeded in death by his parents. Survivors include: sister, Sarah Ellen “Cookie” Parker of Bayou Meto; cousins, Robin (Kimble) Koenig, Ricky Koenig, and Roger Koenig of Stuttgart; Scott Koenig of Little Rock; Melanie (Bill) Ward of Cypress, TX.

Tommy worked as an over the road truck driver most of his adult life. While he truly enjoyed touring almost every state in the US, if you knew him long at all, you know his passion and skill was in rebuilding any part of most any vehicle manufactured prior to the computer chip era. Simple rebuilds came naturally for him, but making it run faster was where he found the pure joy of being a great mechanic.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Bayou Meto Cemetery on Saturday October 29, 2022, at 11am.

In lieu of flowers or food, the family is requesting memorials be made to the Bayou Meto Cemetery, c/o Southern Bancorp Trust Department, P.O. Box 511, DeWitt, AR 72042 or to the charity of your choice.
