Edna Rene Davis

Edna Rene Davis, age 78, was called home on Friday, November 18, 2022. Edna was born in Nady, Arkansas, on October 18, 1944, to Paul and Doris Mitchell. She attended school in Gillett, Arkansas.

Edna was baptized into the General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn in 1967.

She married Eugene Davis on September 2, 1972.

She truly enjoyed living for the Lord, going to church and beautiful singing. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Davis, her son Ashley Davis, her granddaughter Jordan Murphy, her parents Paul and Doris Mitchell, her twin brother Edward Mitchell, and her sister Bobbie Watkins.

She is survived by her children Penny Murphy and husband Steve of DeWitt, Mitchell Rawls and wife Gaye of Heber Springs, AR, Crystal Farrow and husband Raymond of DeWitt; nine grandchildren Craig (Bethany) Ellenberg, Chris (Jessica) Murphy, Jesse (Kelsey) Rawls, Kelly (Micah) Dew, Laura Rawls, Clay (Kayla) Farrow, Tara Storey, Laci (Brock) Watkins, and Heidi (Andrew) Morris; nineteen great-grandchildren Evan, Collin, Aden, Noah, and Jack Ellenberg, Jaden, Eli, and Lillith Murphy, Parker and Jake Rawls, Kara Dew, Wade, Blakely, Bowen, and Kyler Farrow, Westyn Storey, and Henley, Hayden, and Branch Morris.

She is also survived by her sisters Pauline McCallie, Mary (Billy) Clawson, and Martha Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services were November 21 at General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn in DeWitt with burial in Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. www.essexfuneralhome.com
