Melissa "Missy" Renee Wright

Melissa Renee Wright known as Missy of DeWitt, transitioned from this life Saturday, March 18, 2023, at DeWitt Hospital.

Born October 26, 1973 in Enid, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Nolan Wright and Cleo Charlene McFarland.

Melissa was educated in the DeWitt School District. She went to college and after completing her degree, Melissa start working in child development, social work, and she was a bus driver for DeWitt Public School District and worked as a Hippy School Teacher at Patillo School in DeWitt.

Melissa loved her family and watching mystery movies, but most of all, watching her Grandchildren play sports.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Phyllis McFarland and Dewey and Dorothy Wright.

Melissa is survived by two daughters, Jessica Watkins and Shelly Watkins of DeWitt; parents, Nolan and Cleo Charlene Wright of DeWitt; four grandchildren, Raedric Larail Andre Frye, McKinley Kai Watkins, J’air Antwon Brown, and Daylen Terell Releford all of DeWitt; one sister, Rena Mirabella of DeWitt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to cherish her memories.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 3 pm at Faith Baptist Church by Timeless Funeral Home of DeWitt.
