Two DeWitt Varsity Dragon Pitchers Combine to Defeat Pangburn Varsity Tigers in Shutout Game

March 23 - DeWitt Varsity Dragons defeated Pangburn Varsity Tigers 6-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Griffin Whitmore struck out Andrew McCord to finish off the game.

DeWitt Varsity Dragons tallied three runs in the fifth inning.  Josh Haynes and Daigan Burnett all drove in runs in the frame.

Hayden McCarley pitched DeWitt Varsity Dragons to victory. The righty went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out two.  Whitmore threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen striking out two to finish the game. 

Burnett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead DeWitt Varsity Dragons in hits.  DeWitt Varsity Dragons was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Landon Simpson made the most plays with five.

Early Lead For Searcy Varsity Seals Fate For DeWitt Varsity Dragons

March 23 - DeWitt Varsity Dragons fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-4 loss to Searcy Varsity on Thursday.  

DeWitt Varsity Dragons scored three runs in the third inning.  Eli Ashcraft, Josh Haynes, and Daigan Burnett all drove in runs in the frame.

Wyatt Jones was on the pitcher's mound for DeWitt Varsity Dragons. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits and walking one.  Justin Ross threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen. 

DeWitt Varsity Dragons collected eight hits on the day.  Eli Ashcraft and Griffin Whitmore each managed two hits to lead the DeWitt Varsity Dragons.

DeWitt Varsity Dragons Defeat Star City Varsity

March 27 - Owen St.John didn't feel much like getting out on Monday, tallying four hits and leading DeWitt Varsity Dragons to a 8-4 win over Star City Varsity.  St.John singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the seventh.

DeWitt Varsity Dragons got things moving in the first inning.  Hayden McCarley singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Wyatt Jones pitched DeWitt Varsity Dragons to victory. The righty went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.  Griffin Whitmore threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

DeWitt Varsity Dragons collected 11 hits on the day.  St.John, Trey LaCotts, and Whitmore each had multiple hits for DeWitt Varsity Dragons.  St.John led DeWitt Varsity Dragons with four hits in four at bats.

Dragonettes Beat Lakeside in a 3 Inning Run Rule

March 28- Neci Hill was brilliant on the rubber on Tuesday, as Hill threw a no-hitter to lead Dragonettes past Lakeside 21-0.

Khloe Lloyd collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Dragonettes to victory.  Lloyd doubled in the first, singled in the second, tripled in the second, and singled in the second.

In the first inning, Dragonettes got their offense started.  Lloyd doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Dragonettes scored 18 runs in the second inning.  Dorothy Shepherd, Adley Davis, Hartley Davis, DeKyrah Banister, Adryan Cox, and  Lloyd powered the big inning with RBIs.

Hill took the win for Dragonettes. The righty went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out six and walking zero.

Dragonettes totaled 11 hits in the game.  Lloyd, Cox, and Crissa Ahrens all managed multiple hits for Dragonettes.  Lloyd led Dragonettes with four hits in four at bats.  Dragonettes was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Davis made the most plays with  six.

March 28- DeWitt Varsity Dragons fired up the offense in the first inning.  Wyatt Jones drove in three runs when he homered over center field fence. 

DeWitt Varsity Dragons secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the second inning.  The offensive firepower by DeWitt Varsity Dragons was led by Trey LaCotts, Eli Ashcraft, Landon Simpson, Daigan Burnett, Josh Haynes, and  Jax Poston, all driving in runs in the frame.

Caleb Simpson was credited with the victory for DeWitt Varsity Dragons. The righty lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero.

Ashcraft led DeWitt Varsity Dragons with two hits in two at bats.  DeWitt Varsity Dragons didn't commit a single error in the field. Simpson had the most chances in the field with ten.
