Jay Samuel Zeltzer

Jay Samuel Zeltzer, 82, passed away on March 21, 2023, in Boca Raton, FL. He was born on April 12, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, to Esther and Louis Zeltzer. 

Jay was proud to be a veteran of the United States Air Force and dearly loved his family and friends. His sense of humor and easy smile touched many lives.

Jay was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Cockrum Zeltzer. 

He leaves behind his daughter, Sarah Knittel; son-in-law, Eric Knittel; grandson, Maxwell Jacob Knittel, of Larchmont, NY; stepson, Chuck (Connie) Currie, of Wynne, AR; brother, Michael Zeltzer, of Delray Beach, FL; niece, Briana Zeltzer, and nephew, Seth Zeltzer, of Brooklyn, NY; cousin Jerome (Terry) Stevens of Lancaster, PA, and cousin Robert Stevens (Michal Balass) of Columbia, MD. Jay also leaves behind longtime friends Leron and Linda Carnes, Joe and Roz Menton, Mell Solomon, Jerry Lynne Staton, and Tommy and Becky Black.

A graveside service was held at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt, AR.  Arrangements are pending.
