Ida Marilyn Butler Lindsey

Ida Marilyn Butler Lindsey, age 85, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Born in Ethel, Arkansas on February 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clark Butler and Lillian Dumond Butler. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Benny Butler and Kenneth Butler.

Ida was a member of First United Methodist Church in DeWitt. She was owner of Ida’s “G” Corner, a popular before and after school stop for local teens in the 1970’s. Later, she established Butler Lodge in Ethel where she hosted duck hunters from all over the United States for many years.

A loving Momma, MeMe, sister, and friend, Ida will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Ida is survived by her daughters, Tammy DeBerry and her husband Sam DeBerry, Denise Moss and her husband Kelly Green, Lisa Franks and her husband Robert Franks. Her grandchildren, Amber Parr (Todd), Ashley Smith (Ronnie), Alesha Jones (Zak), Lindsey Simpson (Eric), Jennie McSwain (Mathew), Jessica Smith (Jeremy). Her great grandchildren, Zoe and Zane Parr, Sam and Sawyer Jones, Brooklyn and Julian Simpson, Gracey Lloyd, Kash McSwain, and Khloe Lloyd, Rylie Jo and Allyn Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Janis Sollars.

A celebration of life was held at First United Methodist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Burial immediately followed the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel.
