Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Community Open House on Aug. 2

STUTTGART, Ark. – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center (DBNRRC) is celebrating 25 years of research accomplishments and scientific breakthroughs with a community open house. The DBNRRC and the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, Rice Research and Extension Center will host the event jointly. The event is free and open to the public.

WHAT: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the DBNRRC staff, tour the research facilities, and learn about the center’s history, current work, and future research plans. There will also be presentations from leading experts in the rice industry and science, and USDA’s Agricultural Research Service.

WHEN: August 2, 2023, from 7:15 a.m. to noon CDT

WHERE: Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center, 2890 Highway 130 East in Stuttgart, Arkansas, 72160

DETAILS:

Laboratory tours begin at 7:30 a.m. CDT and end around 9:30 a.m. CDT.

Speaker presentations are scheduled from 10 a.m. CDT to noon CDT.
