Jeannie Gail Oakes

Jeannie Gail Oakes 69 of Ethel, Arkansas transitioned from this life July 23, 2023 at her home in Ethel, Arkansas.

Born August 14, 1953, in Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Jones and Billie Zappa.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Jones and James Willis who raised her and her mother, Billie Zappa Willis; and (1) Sister, Kathy Jones.

Jeannie was a homemaker and she loved her family.

Jeannie worked as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly Food Store in Dewitt, Arkansas.

Jeannie is survived by her husband Joseph Oakes of Ethel, Arkansas; (2) Daughters, Amy (Jason) Russell of Oregon and Amanda (Andrew) Russell of Texas; (2) Sons, David Russell and Michael Oakes both of Texas; (1) Sister, Nancy (Michael) Bray of Colorado; (5) Brothers, West (Jennifer) Willis, Jason (Kim) Willis, Willie Jones and Scebern (Angela) Willis all of Louisiana, and Richard (Rachel) Jones of Texas; and a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
