Courtney Desha Fox Davis

Courtney Desha Fox Davis passed away in the early morning hours of November 9th, 2023. Courtney was a native of Almyra. She was born June 6th, 1985, to Anita Ward and Rusty Fox.

Courtney’s encouraging words, actions, and honesty were proof of her endearing love for all those she cherished, especially her daughters and husband. She was a graduate of Dewitt High School and an employee at Dewitt Elementary School, where she enriched the lives of many of our communities' children and her coworkers. Courtney had a great love for sports which she shared with her family. She also enjoyed camping, coloring, and quality time with her loved ones.

Courtney is proceeded in death by her parents; grandparents Ila Jean Burnett Wright, Virgil Wright, Carrol Ward, and Christine Ward all of the Almyra/Dewitt Area.

Courtney leaves behind her husband of sixteen years Greg Davis and three beloved daughters Adley, Hartley, and Stahley. She is survived by her brother Zac Fox (Lauren) of Almyra and sister Heather Russell (Heith) of DeWitt; Grandparents Stanley and Scharlott Fox; Tonya Campbell and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services were November 13 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn with burial following at Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. www.essexfuneralhome.com
