Douglas Harlon Mannis

Douglas Harlon Mannis, age 59, passed from this life surrounded by the love of his three daughters and family on December 7, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1964, in DeWitt to Bill and Eunice Mannis.

He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by his brother, Carlon Mannis.

He is survived by his daughters Ashton Mannis of DeWitt, Reagan Mannis and Kerstyn Mannis of Conway. Doug was blessed with one grandson, Seeley Bennet Mannis. He is also survived by one brother, Elmo Mannis; one sister, Carmella (Jeff) Simpson of DeWitt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Eunice Mannis; and nine brothers and sisters Myrl, Dale, Howard, Edith, Callene, Carlon, Bernard, Arlene, and Sandra.

Doug had great confidence in God and often encouraged others to keep the faith. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed seeing the fruits of his labor in his garden and getting ready for deer season. Above all, he loved being a dad and a papaw to his "Little Man Ben."

Doug will be remembered as a man who loved God, faith, and family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be Saturday, December 16 from 2-3 p.m. at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in DeWitt. A graveside memorial service will follow at 3:00 at Thompson Cemetery.
