Margaret Mae Ross (nee Shearer)

Margaret Mae Ross (nee Shearer), aka Margaret Pike, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024, at the age of 87. Margaret was born on November 3, 1936, in New Winchester, Indiana, to the late Marion “Tiny" and Mable Shearer, who died giving birth to her. She was raised by her father and mother, Anna Shearer. She is survived by her son, William "Tiny Bill" Pike (Alissa), grandchildren Alex and Fletcher Pike, William (Amy) Lowery, Chelsea Lowery, and 6 great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, JoLu.

Margaret was known for her kind and storytelling nature. She was a former long time resident of Dewitt, Arkansas, and Greencastle, Indiana, and enjoyed talking about her life in both places. She had a passion for hunting, farming, flying planes, gardening, cooking, and caring for animals. Her love for the outdoors and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many. Her love and devotion to her only son, “Tiny Bill” was clear to anyone who was in earshot.

Margaret will be buried next to her father in the New Winchester Cemetery in Indiana at a later date. No service is planned at this time. Memorials preferred in care of Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave. Apple Valley, MN 55124.
