First Methodist Church Welcomes Tanzanian Pastor

First Methodist Church in Stuttgart welcomes Rev. Upendo Likondi of Tanzania on June 12 at 6:30 p.m. in an effort to build international relationships within the Global Methodist Church.

Rev. Upendo Likondi is the Conference Superintendent of the Tanzania Conference of the Global Methodist Church. He also serves as the lead pastor at the Keith Boyette Memorial Church in Ilula, Tanzania. He brings a church planting and evangelistic gifting to this role as he continues to provide leadership to the annual conference with over 60 established GMC churches in the five areas/districts of the conference.  Before this appointment, Upendo served as chaplain of the Ilula Orphan Program and The Lord’s Hell Secondary School for 12 years and chaplain of youth programs for 7 years. Before ministry Upendo was in education majoring in deaf education and is the author of three books. He is married to Elizabeth and blessed with four children, Ezra, Ethiniel, Emerson and Uriella.
