Officer involved in three car accident

According to an Arkansas County Sheriff's Deputy, on June 9, at approximately noon a Stuttgart officer was responding to a call and involved in an accident at 22nd and Main. The officer was on West 22nd heading East, proceeding through the light when a truck with a brush guard that was proceeding South through the same intersection, and was already in the intersection and could not stop before they made contact. A third vehicle was in the turning lane to turn West onto 22nd street and was hit by the patrol car after it made contact with the truck. The officer and driver of the third vehicle were taken to Baptist Health for treatment.

No names are released due to the ongoing investigation.
