Gillett/DeWitt Community Fundraiser Upcoming

The 23rd Annual Gillett/DeWitt Community Scholarship Fund will be hosting their annual Picnic Fundraiser on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the DeWitt Community Center from 11:30-2:30 PM.  The menu includes BBQ Ribs, Fried Catfish, baked beans, cole slaw, desserts, and drinks.  There will also be a Raffle of $5 per ticket or 6 tickets for $25 to win three cash prizes of $200, $100, and $50, and you do not have to be present to win.  Tickets can be purchased from any Committee Member– Jason Grantham, Brad Haynes, Mike Jenkins, Howard Larry, Rebecca Owens, Seth Place, or Willie Slater (870) 548-2788.

Donations towards the Scholarship Fund are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. You may dine in or carry out with a minimum donation of $15.  You may also contact Stone Bank at either the DeWitt or Gillett branch.  I can say that my daughter was honored as one of the recipients of this scholarship last year, and we were so thankful for their giving spirit.  Our community shows out for our students, so please donate–you never know a life that you may be changing.
