Dawn’s Delights
Whew! I am worn out ya’ll! It has been a busy couple of weeks! I am not sure if I am coming or going! This weekend was busy starting with the JoDee Messina concert. It was a super concert! Not just JoDee either. The Bennett Hall Band started the night. I had not heard of them before, but they were really good and an interesting fact is they were sisters! They were so young looking too, of course they were in their late teens, so to me that is real young. Talking to them after the concert was really nice too, that is something I love about the Grand Prairie Center. The smaller venue seems to allow the artists to come out and speak to the fans afterwards. The community doesn’t seem to realize what a better venue the GPC is. There would not have been an empty seat if they did. A big shout out to Skyline productions for bringing it here and hopefully, the community will start supporting more events there, in the future.
Then, while dining at The Cozy Nook yesterday, there were three ladies next to us that had also went to the concert. It was a mother and daughter, and mother’s sister. We got to visiting about the concert and the daughter told us she had made the news once in Memphis. She had rescued a dog after a storm, Her mom said of her daughter, she never meets a stranger. I had to laugh because anyone who knows me, will say the same thing. Anyway, this is a shout out to Lauren (the daughter) and thanks for giving me a little something to laugh about in this column.
Until next time…
A healthy Arkansas County requires great community news.
