SJHS Student places 12th out of 55 Spellers

Stuttgart Junior High School student, Madeline Jaramillo, competed in the Arkansas State Spelling Bee representing Arkansas County on Saturday, March 7th. Madeline placed 12 out of 55 counties that competed that day. Over 85,000 students from 430 schools in 58 counties participated in local and county bees that led to the State Spelling Bee. 

Jaramillo won the Arkansas County Spelling Bee on February 10. The Spelling Bee is sponsored by First Electric Cooperative and Riceland Foods, Rice Division.
