Think about the most joyous, most fulfilling moment you've ever had in life. Heaven will be that moment multiplied by a thousand times forever, no end.

"You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." Psalm 16:11

Have you ever gone to bed thinking, “Today was a good day.”   

We have those days.   Days in which everything just falls into place.  Days in which we share love with our family and friends.   Days in which we feel good and our worries have evaporated away.   

I wish every day was a “good day.” 

I wish every day we could go to bed knowing that there is no more violence in this world.   

I wish every day we could fall asleep knowing that no one is hungry.    No one is lonely.   

I wish every day our last waking thought could be, “Thank you for my good health.” 

I wish every day. . .I wish. 

Sometimes those good days are few and far between.   Most days the pressures of life close in on us as we fall asleep.   The worries, the hates, the fears.   They all seem to dwell in our minds when we lay down.   

But every once in a while there’s one of those magical days.    

John of Patmos talks about a day like that.   One day no one will be hungry.  No one will thirst.  No one will have to worry about suffering and one day God will wipe away every tear from our eyes.   

Now that my friends.   That will be a good day indeed.

Let us pray. 

Dear God.  May your Holy Spirit surround us now, and forevermore.  And now as we start our days we pray with Your blessings that we will have a good day.   We pray that You will guide us along life pathways and be our light in times of darkness.   In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
