Dawn’s Delights

I am sitting here trying to figure out what to write about this week. There has been SO much going on in the area lately, it’s hard to narrow down. We had the Community Easter Egg Hunt which had to be postponed one day due to the rain. It was still a great time! I wanted to be a kid again and hunt eggs, the prizes were pretty awesome! I don’t think the Easter Bunny was ever that nice to me…

The committee consists of James Henderson, Teddy Holt, Shelly Owens, Napoleon Davis, Victor Johnson and I am sure I am forgetting a few, my apologies. 

That was my second Easter egg hunt that day, the first being at my church St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. You may have seen the pictures in last week’s paper.

We all know how much fun Easter is. But do you know the REAL reason for Easter? Of course, it is about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ gave the ultimate sacrifice with his life. He did not have to do that, He CHOSE to so that we could all be forgiven our sin. Think about that for a minute. Would you sacrifice your life for people you don’t even know? He was the only perfect man to ever live and yet he chose to take your sins and my sins so that we could be forgiven and live in eternity forever. 

Praise you Jesus that you loved me even when I didn’t deserve it and died for me. This is something I try never to take advantage of and I try to love people as He told us too. Even when we think they don’t deserve it…neither did we.
