How Quack Shack Came to Be
My name is Natasha Waddles, and I’m a proud small business owner alongside my husband, BJ Waddles. BJ and I have been married for 20 years, and his roots run deep in Stuttgart, where he was born and raised and where his family has been part of the community for over 60 years. We are also very active in our faith and attend church in Stuttgart three times a week, which plays a big role in our lives and values.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. We have two children—our son, James Waddles, who is 16 and already learning the ropes by working with me at The Quack Shack, and our daughter, Lilliauna, who now lives in Kentucky with her husband, Jacob Flener.
Our journey into business started in 2021 when my daughter and I opened our Cabot location together, Spill the Beans Coffee Co. & More. She worked side-by-side with me helping build the foundation of what we have today until she got married in 2024. That experience made this business even more meaningful—it’s truly built on family, hard work, and a lot of love.
Another huge part of this journey has been my parents, Gary and Brenda Wheeler. They have been right there with me through it all—helping with the physical labor, design, painting, and so much more. They worked beside me to bring both locations to life, and that is something I will always cherish. It’s especially meaningful after almost losing my dad to cancer and seeing him go through two major surgeries within a year’s time. Having him healthy enough to stand beside me and help build these businesses made the experience even more special. My mom continues to play a big role as well—she’s the one behind our homemade breakfast burritos and the delicious wrap fillings our customers love.
Both our Cabot store, Spill the Beans Coffee Co. & More, and The Quack Shack are centered around creating a welcoming, feel-good experience for our customers. We offer a wide variety of drinks including handcrafted coffee, dirty sodas, and energy drinks, along with a brunch-style food menu. Some of our favorites include avocado toast, a variety of bagels, Nutella toast, açaí bowls, and our homemade breakfast burritos. We also serve delicious wraps like chicken bacon ranch and buffalo chicken, and we proudly feature cookies from Boss Cookie Co.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple—to serve great drinks, good food, and create a place where people feel like family the moment they pull up.
A healthy Arkansas County requires great community news.
