Stuttgart Police Reports
April 17, 2026
I, Officer Melissa Steele was dispatched to the lobby of the Stuttgart Police Department to take a report. Upon arrival I made contact with a 78-year old female in which she stated she received a phone call on 03/26/2026 from an unknown male subject claiming to be from the Federal Trade Commission . She states that he was very convincing on working for the Commission as he gave a badge number and answered her questions without hesitancy. She assumed it was a legitimate establishment and wired the asking amount of $9,700 with a $25 service charge as she was asked to wire the funds through Wells Fargo from her bank account at Farmers and Merchants Bank at 708 S. Main St. in Stuttgart, AR. The receiving party appears to be in San Francisco, CA,
She states the representative of Farmers and Merchants Bank in Stuttgart is the contact for this incident.
On today's date, March 30, 2026 at approximately 6:54 p.m. I Officer John Hudson was dispatched to Stuttgart Police Department to take a report. Upon my arrival, I spoke with a 62-year old male. He informed me that there were some individuals that are illegally dumping trash into his dumpster. He informed me that there was bed sheets, parts of a headboard to a bed, and yard clippings in his dumpster. I informed him that I would make a report about the situation for illegal dumping. I did not find illegal dumping in R.P.S. so I put the office as Criminal trespass on land due to the dumpster being on private property.
A healthy Arkansas County requires great community news.
