Rodney Ross collected three hits in four at bats, as DeWitt Varsity Dragons defeated McGehee Owls 11-1 on Thursday at TBD. Ross singled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Kaden Pippinger struck out 14 batters on the day. The hurler also surrendered two hits and one run over six innings while walking two.

Kaden Pippinger struck out 14 batters as the right-handed pitcher led DeWitt Varsity Dragons past Rison Varsity Wildcats 5-1 on Tuesday at TBD. Pippinger allowed one hit and one run over seven innings while walking two.
An error put Rison Varsity Wildcats on the board in the bottom of the third.
DeWitt Varsity Dragons captured the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fifth after Rodney Ross singled to right field, and Jax Poston singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Ross and Pippinger were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for DeWitt Varsity Dragons. Ross and Pippinger were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for DeWitt Varsity Dragons.
