Game Changer
    The Stuttgart Ricebirds defeated Pocahontas 5-4 in the regionals to secure a place in the 4-A state tournament this week in Nashville.
    Dagan Duncan tossed 5.2 innings.
The senior southpaw was in command recording 11 strikeouts, 3 hits, 2 walks and allowing one run. Axton McCrea and Cameron Rodgers appeared in relief to secure the win.
    Axton McCrea’s homerun lifted the Birds lead to 4-0.  McCrea and Harper Feilke each went 2 for 3 at the plate recording multiple RBI’s.

Stuttgart Ricebirds Lose To Lonoke Varsity Jackrabbits, In WalkOff

A walk-off left Stuttgart Ricebirds on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Lonoke Varsity Jackrabbits on Friday in regional play. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eighth when Cooper Lewis singled, scoring one run.
Stuttgart Ricebirds fell despite leading 4-0 in the fifth.
Stuttgart Ricebirds opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Stuttgart Ricebirds first got on the board when Dagan Duncan singled, scoring one run.
Hayden Prine homered to left field, which helped Stuttgart Ricebirds tie the game at six in the top of the seventh.
Nathan Spoon led things off on the bump for Stuttgart Ricebirds. The hurler allowed six hits and three runs over five and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two.
Stuttgart Ricebirds collected 10 hits in the game. Dagan Duncan, Jay Griffin, and Hayden Prine each collected two hits for Stuttgart Ricebirds. Duncan and Prine were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Stuttgart Diamond Birds.

Stuttgart Ricebirds Defeats Highland Rebels In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the hill on Saturday, but Stuttgart Ricebirds defeated Highland Rebels 3-1. Hayden Prine started the game for Stuttgart Ricebirds and recorded 20 outs.
Stuttgart Ricebirds got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Harper Feilke singled to center field, and Dagan Duncan grounded out, each scoring one run.
Prine began the game for Stuttgart Ricebirds. The pitcher gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking four. Trace Hyslip stepped on the mound first for Highland Rebels. The pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
Nathan Spoon, Duncan, Feilke, Jay Griffin, and Prine each collected one hit for Stuttgart Ricebirds. Duncan, Feilke, and Prine each drove in one run for Stuttgart Ricebirds.
