Arkansas Advanced Energy Launches “Power Players” Scholarship Program for High School Students; Results in 100+ Applicants in One Week
The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) has launched Power Players, a new scholarship and leadership program for Arkansas high school students designed to build energy awareness, leadership skills, and community engagement.
Power Players is open to rising juniors and rising seniors from across the state and does not require prior experience in energy or technical fields. The program connects students with real-world learning opportunities focused on how energy powers Arkansas’s homes, schools, businesses, and communities.
Participants are eligible for a total of $2,500 in scholarship awards, including:
- $1,000 Grand Power Player Award
- $600 Energy Innovation Spotlight Award
- $400 Community Leadership & Volunteerism Award
- $300 Energy in Action Video Award
- $200 Social Media Impact Award
Due to the volume of applications, we are seeking businesses or organizations that would like to contribute to or sponsor additional Power Players scholarships to further the impact for Arkansas high school students. If you are interested, please email Ebony Mitchell to discuss opportunities.
A healthy Arkansas County requires great community news.
